Jerry Bryan

Jerry L. Bryan is President of Bryan Consulting. The firm is a management, technology, and communications consulting organization. It serves business, government and nonprofit clients. Its capabilities are focused on issues of strategic change.

Bryan's previous experience includes:

  • Chairman and CEO of Atisma Technologies, developer of Web-based management software for K-12 schools, higher education, and nonprofits, that is accessed over the Internet

  • Vice President of Corporate Communications for Sverdrup Corporation, an international professional services firm in engineering, architecture, construction, and advanced technology

  • Public Affairs Director for the U.S. companies of Alusuisse, a multinational industrial group based in Zurich, Switzerland

  • Vice President of Wright & Manning, an investor relations and financial communications firm in St. Louis, part of the national Manning, Selvage & Lee public relations firm

  • Press Secretary to the Governor of Missouri

  • Broadcast and wire service journalist covering state and national government

His specialties in communications and technology blend to provide clients with clear direction for the next wave of strategic change.

  • As a public relations counselor he focuses on marketplace positioning, issues management, media relations, investor relations, and strategic planning.

  • With a personal commitment to the beneficial uses of technology, he creates strategies for Internet, Intranet, and Extranet sites to achieve the productivity gains, collaborative work teams, and innovation that clients expect in a Web environment.

He has served on numerous regional and national boards for civic, charitable, professional, educational, and healthcare institutions. He has cumulative service of more than 100 years on such boards. Currently he is chairman of the Council for Educational Advancement, chairman of the Alzheimer's Association, a trustee of the Missouri Baptist Hospital Healthcare Foundation, and a director of Grand Center Inc., a land redevelopment corporation for midtown St. Louis.

Bryan is a counselor to educators and nonprofit executives on a wide range of issues. He is a frequent speaker and workshop leader on advanced technology, marketing, issues management, public relations, and strategic planning.

He is a Fellow and former national board member of the Public Relations Society of America, a former international chairman of the Business Marketing Association, and former chair of international development for the International Association of Business Communicators. He is accredited by those groups, with designations of APR, CBC and ABC. He was honored by PRSA as the 14th recipient of its Paul M. Lund Award; by BMA and Crain Communications as the 26th recipient of the G. D. Crain Award; and by IABC as a U.S. District IV Communicator of the Year. He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society.
